The Student Athlete Advisory Committee serves as a liaison between student athletes and athletic administration. Their aim is to promote student athlete welfare, while upholding the values of the Auburn Creed and NCAA. The mission of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee is to enhance the total student-athlete experience and offer input on the rules, regulations and policies that affect the student-athlete experience. The committee is comprised of two current Auburn student-athletes from the 19 sports on campus. SAAC provides student-athletes with a voice to the administration, conference office, and the NCAA. I was a Women’s Track and Field representative for my sophomore year, and became part of the executive committee my junior year as secretary. My responsibilities as secretary have equipped me with responsibility for myself and others, as I aim to personally aide to the betterment of student athlete welfare at Auburn.
CONNECT is an organization mandated by Auburn Athletics that equips incoming freshmen and transfer student athletes with skills such as time management, healthy relationships, communication, and leadership. After completing the program my freshman year, I became an emerging leader and have lead a group of ten to twelve student athletes per year. I help plan and lead monthly meetings and activities that enhance various life skills for student athletes.
During my time as a student athlete at Auburn, I have held leadership positions in multiple Athletics Organizations that have equipped me with strong leadership skills.
